It is located in the heart of Lynchburg and has 12 miles of trails available for hiking, horseback riding and skating. There is access points to the park at Monticello Ave, Hill St., Thomson Dr. East Randolph St., Jefferson Park, Hollins Mill Rd. and Cabell St.

George Washington's Ferry Farm
George Washington's Ferry Farm was the boyhood home of the United States president, and where he confessed to chopping down the cherry tree. During the Civil War, the farm was used as a campground by Union soldiers. At the visitor's center, guests can see relics of the Washington's first house that were uncovered during archaeologic digs.
